Emily is a Naturopathic Doctor who received her doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, one of the world's leading universities in advancing research and education in the natural health sciences. She graduated summa cum laude from the California State University Hayward, majoring in biology, with an emphasis in clinical laboratory sciences, and a minor in music.
She specializes in the health of the whole person. Dr. Chan works with conditions such as allergies, fatigue, gastrointestinal problems, thyroid disorders, reproductive issues, autoimmune conditions, and neurological disorders. She enjoys solving difficult chronic conditions as well as helping a child get through an acute ear infection naturally. She views herself as her patient's coach, resource, ally, and supporter and believes in empowering them to take charge of their own health. In her spare time, she likes to explore Boston, go out dancing, hang out with family and friends, coordinate social events, do projects and obtain information on her apple computer, let music engulf her while starring at the ceiling, take gym classes and try new things.
Her enthusiasm in music and dedication to the orchestra as well as her camaraderie and high musical standards are qualities that make Emily such a wonderful asset to the orchestra and also such a wonderful person to have in the group.
