Internship/Volunteer Program for Aspiring Professionals

 

There are many paid professionals behind the scenes of any successful arts organization.  Many of these positions require a certain number of years experience before being permitted to even APPLY for a position.  The Waltham Symphony Orchestra would like to help support anyone wishing to gain this experience for the workplace.  We are always looking for high-energy and positive-thinking individuals who would like to aid our office in the following categories:

 

· Press promotion

 

· Library/archives

 

· Advertising sales

 

· Website maintenance

 

 

· Volunteer Coordinator

 

· Marketing/Development

 

***This positions would be perfect for high school students who are looking for community outreach experience, as well as college and scholarship recommendations.

Since the Waltham Symphony Orchestra is a Non-For-Profit organization, the time spent by students in their volunteer work can often be applied as volunteer service hours. This is especially important for high school students who have to fulfill a certain number of community service hours per academic year.
