Elliott Markow - Violin

 

Violinist Elliott Markow is coming back to Waltham to perform the Brahms' Violin Concerto during the May concert 2009.

 

Violinist Elliott Markow is a native of the Boston area who has studied with William Kroll, Emanual Borok, Berl Senofsky, and Jascha Heifetz. He is a graduate of Boston University. Mr Markow serves as Concertmaster of the French Symphony of Boston, the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra, the Nashua (NH) Symphony Orchestra, the Granite State Symphony Orchestra (NH) and the Granite State Opera Orchestra.

 

Markow has been co-concertmaster of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, a sustitue member of the Boston Symphony / Boston Pops Orchestras, and assistant concertmaster of the New Orleans Symphony. As a soloist, he has performed with numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the United States.

 

For the 2009-2010 Season, Elliott will server as co-concertmaster of the WSO in alternance with Beth Welty.
