THE PROGRAM PROVIDES
Mentoring from section principal
Practice/fingering tips and techniques
Exposure to advanced and diverse repertoire
A chance to sit at the principal desk for a rehearsal
Understanding what is required of a player to work in a professional symphony: Preparation, Etiquette, Professionalism
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Massachusetts school (public or private), and must not have graduated from H.S.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in private lessons
Applicants should be advanced players of conservatory caliber
2 Letters of recommendation (one from your current private instructor)
$30 Non-refundable application fee
Concerto of the applicants choice, including two contrasting movements
3 Required orchestral excerpts of diverse style (See Below)
